System requirements

ScientificCMS has the following requirements:

  • Java Runtime, Version 1.6 or newer. It is recommended to use the version supported by the operating system vendor rsp. the Linux distribution.
  • Database: Either PostgreSQL version 8.x or newer or Oracle
  • A Servlet Container. Tomcat version 6 or newer is supported. It is recommended to use the version supported by the operating system rsp. Linux distrubution.
No special operating system is needed, ScientificCMS should run on all systems which match the software requirements above. The hardware requirements are depending on the size of your site, the number of request and other factors.
